TeamTec shipped 82 ejectors to Chinese customer
TeamTec recently shipped two large ejector deliveries, each of 41 units to large offshore projects being built in China at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Offshore Co.,Ltd., adding up to about 8 tons of raw material.
Ejectors are powerful tools for performing the harder/tougher pumping tasks, and new areas of use are continuously discovered. As they are engineered and customized via well known Bernoulli fluid dynamics equations, you can rely on the performance already at the drawing board and almost forget about the issue you need to solve.
The upturn of projects in the offshore sector is starting to show, and it is a fair hope that this will continue along with more activity in the marine market. This sale was organized through highly skilled TeamTec representation in China.
The sets on these projects were not identical, as the second consisted of larger capacity ejectors than the first. The Nickel-Aluminum-Bronze ejectors were delivered with high quality monel driving nozzles and certified super duplex fasteners for all flange connections, and a 20 year warranty. They were pressure tested to 31 bar before packing, about 10 weeks after orders were received.
Due to climate conditions and other important production factors in China, similar quality ejectors cannot be obtained locally. This opens the possibility for exporting from our experienced foundry in Tvedestrand, Norway, and capture considerable market shares. Reliable delivery times and high quality are the keys that should not be forgotten.
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and Offshore Co.,Ltd. says this about the large TeamTec delivery:
“We are glad that we have chosen TeamTec as ejectors supplier for our new-building FPSOs for SBM. The first FPSO ejectors was delivered May, 2018 and the products were in good condition, shipped in wooden packing. There was a scratch on one of the flanges but that is not easy to recover in yard, however, TeamTec’s reaction was effective and quick by replacing a whole new ejector, arranging air freight to Shanghai in one week.
We feel very happy that our vendor is performing in this way because we needed to install these ejectors in the lowest machinery cabin as soon as possible. This enhances our confidence to continue to cooperate with TeamTec in future projects”.
