A new agreement signed at Posidonia 2026 marks the first order of the new Senza Compact – extending the collaboration into smaller vessel segments.
TeamTec is pleased to announce a new cooperation agreement with UniBallast, signed at Posidonia 2026 in Athens. The agreement includes the first order of the TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS – the latest addition to the Senza product family, designed for vessels in the 1,000–10,000 DWT range with treatment capacities from 50 to 300 m³/h.
This is not the first time TeamTec and UniBallast have worked together. The two companies have a strong and proven track record of collaboration, with previous projects including large-scale TeamTec Senza BWMS deliveries for demanding applications. The new agreement represents a natural next step in an already successful partnership.
About UniBallast
UniBallast specialises in port-based ballast water treatment services – providing rental-based, compliant treatment solutions in harbour so vessels can meet international regulations without the need for a permanent onboard system. Their service is well suited for vessels operating in areas with strict port state control requirements, or those seeking a flexible and cost-efficient compliance option.
Expanding the service offering with Senza Compact
With the TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS, UniBallast can now extend their port-based treatment service to smaller vessel types that were previously outside their scope. Combined with the full TeamTec Senza range available – from 50 to 3,750 m³/h – they can source the right solution for virtually any vessel size or project requirement.
For TeamTec, this agreement is a strong example of how the Senza range serves a broad part of the market – delivered both as permanent onboard installations and as flexible, rental-based solutions in port.
About the Senza Compact BWMS
The Senza Compact is a simplified and space-efficient version of the Senza system, specifically developed for smaller vessels. Delivered as an integrated single-skid solution, the system reduces installation time, space requirements and overall complexity. Key features include:
• Filter-free design – no clogging, backflushing or filter replacement
• Reliable operation in all water conditions – including high turbidity, sediment, mud, algae and ice-prone environments
• Direct biocide injection using standard, globally available chemicals
• Low power consumption – from 1.9 kW up to a maximum of 3 kW
• Type approved by DNV, ABS, BV, RINA, CCS and USCG certification
• Suitable for both retrofit and newbuild projects
“With the Senza Compact, we are extending our technology to a wider part of the fleet. We are pleased to see UniBallast adopt this new model as part of their service offering, and we look forward to continued collaboration.”
– Olav Valsvik, Head of Sales BWMS, TeamTec
