TeamTec announces the launch of the new TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS, expanding TeamTec BWMS portfolio with a solution designed for smaller vessels. The new system delivers reliable, compliant and cost-efficient ballast water treatment while simplifying installation, operation and maintenance.
Simplified design, lower OPEX
The TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS features a streamlined and robust system design, where key components have been reduced and optimized. Delivered as a single-skid solution, the system requires minimal onboard integration.
A redesigned and smaller biocide tank reduces footprint and overall system cost, while enabling easier operation, maintenance and crew training.
Filter-free technology for reliable operation in demanding water conditions
The system is based on TeamTec’s filter-free ballast water treatment technology, eliminating common operational challenges associated with filters, such as clogging, frequent cleaning and replacement.
This ensures stable and predictable operation across a wide range of water qualities, including areas with high sediment levels commonly encountered in coastal and shallow waters.
Industry-leading energy performance
With power consumption from just 1.9 kW up to a maximum of 3 kW, the TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS sets a new benchmark for energy efficiency in its segment.
“We have focused on reducing complexity and energy consumption, while ensuring reliable operation in all water conditions. This gives our customers a solution that is easier to install, operate and maintain – with full compliance and predictable performance.”
Compared to conventional systems, this significantly reduces fuel consumption and overall OPEX – an important factor for smaller vessels operating on tight margins. Combined with TeamTec’s filter-free technology, the system ensures consistent performance without compromise, regardless of operating conditions.
Expanding the TeamTec BWMS range
The TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS is tailored for vessels in the 1,000–10,000 DWT range, with capacities from 50 to 300 m³/h. This makes it well suited for smaller ships and expands the application range of the TeamTec BWMS portfolio to new customer segments.
“With the TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS, we are extending our technology to a wider part of the fleet,” says Olav Valsvik, Head of Sales BWMS at TeamTec.
With the introduction of the compact model, TeamTec now offers a complete BWMS portfolio covering capacities from 50 to 3,750 m³/h, enabling scalable solutions across vessels of all sizes.
Built for compliance and practical operation
The TeamTec Senza Compact BWMS is designed to meet international regulatory requirements, including US Coast Guard (USCG) certification, ensuring global operability and long-term regulatory security for shipowners.
Its compact footprint and flexible installation make the system suitable for both retrofit and newbuild projects, while minimizing operational impact.
